Tacos for Markham Events
Taco Man is the taco kitchen in our family of companies, alongside Mr Corn BBQ Catering and Mr Fun Foods. We come in from our North York kitchen, set up under our own canopy tents, cook everything on site and clean up when service ends.
Markham has one of the biggest concentrations of tech and head offices in the GTA, along Highway 7 and the 404. A taco bar suits an office lunch: guests build their own plate in a minute, there’s something for vegans and gluten-free eaters, and nobody has to manage trays of cold sandwiches. We cater across Markham, including Unionville, Markham Village, Cornell, Cathedraltown, Milliken and Downtown Markham.

3 tacos per guest, 6 proteins, corn or flour tortillas, onions, cilantro and crema.
Burrito Bowls
Rice, beans and your choice of protein. Naturally gluten-free.
Walking Tacos
Doritos, Takis or Fritos bag with protein and cheese.

Churros, mini donuts, funnel cake or fresh fruit salad.

Permits for a Markham Event
A private event on private property, like an office lot or a backyard, doesn’t need health unit paperwork. Public events do, and in Markham that means York Region Public Health.
Food vendors submit the Vendor Application Event Form to York Region Community and Health Services at least 10 days before the event, and the organizer submits their own form alongside it. Forms go to health.inspectors@york.ca, and York Region Health Connection is on 1-800-361-5653. A public health inspector will be in touch before the date.
Near Steeles?
Steeles Avenue is the line between York Region and Toronto. A venue on the Scarborough side falls under Toronto Public Health, which needs 30 days’ notice from the organizer for a public event. Check which health unit covers the venue’s actual address.
Markham schools
Mr Corn is an approved school vendor in every GTA region, including York Region District School Board schools in Markham. We supply insurance, food handler certification and health inspection paperwork whenever your school office needs it.

How much does taco catering cost in Markham?
Burrito bowls and walking tacos are $15 per person, the taco package is $21 per person with three tacos each, and desserts are $7 per person. The minimum booking is $1,400. There is no travel fee for Markham.
Can you cater a tech office lunch in Markham?
Yes. Staff lunches and team days at Markham offices are a good fit for a taco bar because guests build their own plate and the line moves fast. We set up under our own canopy tents in a courtyard, lot or lawn, cook on site and clean up after.
What does York Region need for a public event with food in Markham?
Markham is covered by York Region Public Health. Food vendors submit the Vendor Application Event Form at least 10 days before the event, and the organizer submits their own form alongside it. Private events on private property don’t go through this process.
